Stephen Poliakoff
Stephen Poliakoff was appointed the writer in residence for the National Theatre in 1976 and won the Evening Standard's 'Most Promising Playwright' award the same year. He has written around 30 plays and won a BAFTA for his single drama 'Caught on a Train'. Other television projects include 'The Tribe' and 'Hidden City'. 'Shooting the Past' won Poliakoff a Broadcasting Press Guild Award for writing. For his work on 'Perfect Strangers' he won the Dennis Potter Award at the 2002 BAFTAs.
