Derek Jacobi starred as Alan Turing in the stage version in both London and New York alongside Joanna David.He also took the role again for the television adaptation directed by Herbert Wise and starring Prunella Scales, Harold Pinter and Amanda Root. For it Jacobi was nominated for a BAFTA.
