Adapted from 'Alan Turing: The Enigma', 'Breaking the Code' charts the troubled life of the talented mathematician from his school days until his death. The play looks at his eccentric brilliance and his homosexuality at a time when it was still illegal.
+Derek Jacobi starred as Alan Turing in the stage version in both London and New York alongside Joanna David.
He also took the role again for the television adaptation directed by Herbert Wise and starring Prunella Scales, Harold Pinter and Amanda Root. For it Jacobi was nominated for a BAFTA.
